Ames Campus Protests Featured on Blaze TV: By G.C. Stevens

Blaze TV Host Sara Gonzales of Blaze TV

I was watching the Sara Gonzales show on Blaze TV, when I saw a news story come up about a protest, which may I say looked small, quaint and very peaceful. And it was a group of what appeared to be students and faculty, against a background of rainbow colored flags, standing in protest of recent orders handed down by the Trump Administration shutting down DEI offices and activities on state supported campuses. Per one news source at MSN
The U.S. Department of Education escalated President Donald Trump's "war on diversity, equity and inclusion" (as erroneously stated my MSN) Thursday, warning states that public schools offering "impermissible" DEI programs could be at risk of losing federal funding.
The agency gave state education commissioners nationwide 10 days to certify they've followed civil rights laws and court rulings. If they don't verify their compliance, Trump administration officials reminded them, the federal government can revoke their funds, impose "substantial liabilities" or launch Justice Department investigations.
The protest included a mock burial with a casket draped in a rainbow flag, with a promise that they would one day return.

There is another side of this story that I would hope that the democrats, mainstream media, and school administrators would understand. And that is, that a vast majority of Iowans were never in favor of these programs. And the programs were assembled and activated in the schools just prior to the covid scare, and it was solidified by covid, masking, and intimidation. And it was done without regard or the consent of the taxpayers of Iowa. It was a flagrant abuse of power. And it was covid, DEI and government overreach that brought out the voters to every caucus location in 2024 in one worst Iowa Winters in recent history. And they overwhelmingly voted for Donald J. Trump and his policies. We voted to end DEI. It was our political will to do so. And when came time to return to the polls in November of 24, Once  again Americans across the nation, voted overwhelming, by a decisive landslide to elect Donald J. Trump. And he legally, through due process under the rule of law, terminated DEI throughout the nation. And we your fellow residents of Iowa expect you as Iowans, who by our roots, are a lawful people, to obey the law, and submit to the will of lawful people, for the good of the nation.
